Appa Pendse : The Man & The Mission

This is the short biography of Dr. V.V. 0alias Appa Pendse, the founder of Jnana Prabodhini. After 1947, a few young patriots became explorers and pathfinders seeking ways to construct the nation anew. Appa Pendse was one such pioneer inspired by the idea of changing the face of India, both materially and socially. He conceived of Jnana Prabodhini in 1962 to realize the vision of Swami Vivekanand which also became his own vision. This book is a life-sketch of an idealist in action.
